Baby And Dairy foods

by Danielle Thomas

I'm confused about how good it is to introduce dairy foods to your baby, specifically cow's milk? And if not, what can you give them instead?

Using Cow Milk
by: Courtney

Depending on how old your baby is, I would recommend using cow milk. It contains calcium that will help his bones develop and become strong. However, if your baby is still under 1 year old, I would not recommend using straight cow's milk. Find some other suitable supplement you can use.

Use Milk Types

I would use milk because it does have lots of things that are good for baby. I read that whole milk is best for the little ones because they need the fat. I would definitely choose an organic milk though. Personally I am concerned with all the extras that cows are fed to make them produce more milk. If it's certified organic, you know it's just milk.

Soy milk is a good alternative if you still aren't sure about cow's milk. I keep both in the refrigerator. Soy milk is usually fortified with the same vitamins milk has. Just compare labels if you aren't sure. Best of luck!
