Cannot sit on his own

I am a Chinese mother with a very petite baby. I, myself is very petite. The problem is, my son is going to be 8 months old soon, but he cannot sit on his own. My son can support his head well but whenever I put him in a sitting position, he will fall to the side or lunge forward towards his legs. My son is 7 months old and shows no desire to sit up. I can prop him up with pillows, but as far as sitting unassisted goes he does not want to place his hands down to hold himself up. I do lots of tummy time with him and he is in physical therapy to try and get his strength up because he does not want to push up either. Any advice? Click here to read or post comments. |
