Born Prematurely

by Sailaja
(India)

I have a 9 month old baby boy who was born prematurely by one month. He tries to crawl on people and can very well walk in his walker. My concern is that he is still trying to sit on his own, but cannot do so yet.

Will the fact that he is a premature baby make him reach milestones 1 month later? Please advise.

Premature
by: sailaja

My baby was born exactly 1 month before my due date. Born at 2.75 kg (about 6lb), he was termed premature. But I got to know the main concern was his weight (especially if <2.5kg). So don?t you worry. They will reach their milestones when they have to... but a little late though? one month late in this case.
