Family Participation With the Avent Pump

by Richard Winer
(Arizona)

You cannot understate the bond between an infant and his mother during a period of breastfeeding. Their relationship is one of instinct, and when she chooses to feed her child naturally, a mom can become inseparable from her baby.

Though beautiful in its own way, this type of bond can lead other members of the family to feel a little bit left out.

Dad might want to spend some quality time with his newborn, but there are precious few opportunities to; between naps, changing, and feedings they can’t really gather up a good block of time to spend together. However, with the Avent pump, dad, as well as anyone else in the family, can share those precious moments with the baby just like mommy.

Formula is no match for the nutrients a baby consumes from breast milk. It’s the much healthier option, but by choosing to breastfeed, it excludes everyone else from bonding with the baby during feedings. The Avent breast pump allows you to store your milk in a bottle for later, so anyone else can share the experience and responsibility. If there are any older brothers and sisters, they will have the chance to bond with the new baby in a way that wouldn’t be possible with nursing.

Even beyond allowing others the chance to bond with the infant, you can have some time off. A break from feeding once in a while might do your mental well-being some good, as you may not feel so tied to the house at all hours of the day. You’ll have peace of mind, knowing that at home someone else is able to care for your baby without you being there.

The Avent pump makes the process extremely easy and comfortable, silently pumping out just as much milk as a bulking electronic pump.

The patented “let-down” pad makes pumping feel natural to you, so you can produce more milk and maintain your steady supply. It allows you to stock up on bottles for extended periods of time, so the baby can consistently feed when you’re not around.

Your family will love the responsibility, and it the reward will be a series of lifelong bonds that form between your baby and each family member.
