Head Control

by Somayya Jooma
(Johannesburg)

Here is a tip to encourage head control development. Take a towel and roll it into a sausage. Put baby over the towel with towel under the chest and elbows over the towel. This position encourages baby to lift and move his head, thereby strengthening muscles and improving head control. It can be done from as little as 7 weeks.

The same process can be followed when baby is a little older to aid with crawling and lifting the arms and gaining strength in arms and upper body.
