Newborn Developments

by Stephanie
(Canada)

I've been reading up on all the newborn developments. There are things he is doing now that I didn't think should be happening until later.

When he was born he was able to hold his head on his own. Then about a day after he was already cooing. 2 Weeks after he was born he would respond to our smiles with one of his own. He was smiling randomly since the day he was born. He also started laughing, not just "ah's" but "hahaha's", since he was a month old. I was wondering if maybe this development is too soon and should be looked at for something, or did I just have a child who develops fast?
