Recognizing People

I was amazed about my daughter already recognizing people, especially us, her parents. She is 2 months old now. Another thing that amazed me was that she clearly recognizes Barney. My question: is this normal for a two months old baby?

This is completely amazing, but my baby girl of 6 weeks recognizes me and her dad. She stops crying when she sees either of us. Well, researchers have discovered that an unborn baby can recognize the voices of their parents. I also believe they can recognize us after birth :-)

That's great if a 2 month old can recognize people. I am not sure if my 2 month old did that.
