Skinny Baby

by Satya Singh
(Vasco-Da-Gama, India)

My son is really a skinny baby. His birth weight was only 2.5 kg (5.5 lb). He is now 27 months old and 100cm tall (39.4 inches), but still only weighs 12.05 kg (26.5 lb).

He generally avoids food and other edible things. He definitely looks slim compare to other babies.

My question regarding my skinny baby is:
Do you think he is growing normally physically? If not, can you give me some advice. If yes, why does he not look heavier compared to others?

Check With A Doctor
by: Anonymous

Women Infants & Children (WIC) is a nutritional program for pregnant moms and children birth to five. They have great nutritional information plus track the growth of your child. If you are concerned about your childs eating and growth, this would be a great program for you.

Plus I would recommend talking to your doctor or specialist about your concerns.
