Sudden Development Change

by Lachattesg
(Ohio)

I recently noticed a sudden development change in my 3 months 3 weeks old baby. At around 2 and a half months, she started staring at her hands and swatting at objects. But about a week ago, she stopped performing both actions. She just stares at objects intently.

Should I be worried? I am. She seemed to have regressed. Is there anything I should be doing right now?

You should continue to play with your child, placing toys that make noise in front of her. You could also place these toys in her hands. The idea is to playfully encourage her to take part and thus encourage development.

I don't think this should be anything to worry about as long as your baby recognizes that something is there. Best is to ask your pediatrician and see what he/she says about it.
