Teething

by Carol
(Malaysia)

My baby is 3 1/2 months old and has a lot of saliva. I read somewhere that this is due to teething. Some say its because of her gums. Others say that she wants to talk. Any advice?

Also, can I give her a teether at this age or should I wait. I bought a baby's toothbrush and toothpaste and read that I can brush her gums. Is this OK?

Does a pacifier/soother cause narrowing of the jaw. My baby uses soothers for about 1-2 hours a day. Will that affect her jaw?

Teething

My 7 month old son is teething pretty hard. He also has reflux. Is it normal for babies to have more frequent spit ups during teething? I was thinking the extra saliva was the cause. Do you have any opinions?
