2 Very Unique Baby Walkers

Unique baby walkers

What toys really qualify as unique baby walkers? Well, in my mind, it's any of the many walkers I've seen and used that has one or more really great features. Things that stand out. Things that make these toys really great.

Although there may be many such toys, what I've listed below are some of my personal favorites.

Unique walkers #1

Around the Block Walker

Looking for a toy with a target range of 12 months to 99 years? Then the Around the Block Walker by Parents is your ideal toy. The toy is a walker, has blocks along with storage place, is beautifully color coordinated and in short is a great source of learning and entertainment.

Here are the things parents like about this fantastic wooden contraption

Around the Block Walker
  • Safety and comfort – The walker is made of solid wood and is therefore highly stable and safe. The wheels provide non skid traction, which ensures heightened balance and control. The edges are rounded off and all attachments are built keeping a toddler in mind. The gaps under the lids prevent tiny fingers from begin squeezed. There are no small parts that may pose a choking hazard for children and all in all, the walker is safe and sturdy. The handle is padded for a comfortable and sturdy grip. Though the fixed handle does hinder the longevity of the toy, it is positioned to suit most toddlers who are learning how to walk.

  • Stimulation – The walker comes with 40 blocks that have hinged lid storage spaces. The blocks are great for pattern identification, alphabet and color recognition. There are beads running through the handle that help the child in developing hand eye co-ordination. The walker is a great tool to help the child in understanding spatial relationships along with developing the gross motor skills.

Personally, I've found that any of the many walkers with wooden blocks allow for many hours of happy building fun. This baby walker surely emerges as an interesting toy for your growing child. One of the few downsides is that it does not have much of a turning radius, making turning a bit difficult for more mobile children.

Unique baby walkers #2

One of my personal favorite baby walkers is the Fisher Price corn popper

Fisher Price Corn Popper

A while ago I was invited to the reunion of the educational toy library I started 20 years ago. This in itself is not interesting.

But was interesting is when I saw the Fisher Price Corn Popper I bought 20 years ago. And it was still working perfectly well. That in anybody's language is impressive and definitely worth mentioning as one of the unique baby walkers.

Now, the Corn popper is not necessarily a toy to get your baby walking. But it is really great for encouraging babies who just started walking unaided.

I can still remember that my sons spend endless hours walking around with the Corn Popper... apparently absolutely impressed by the popping little balls.

If I consider how long your child will most likely be playing with this unique baby walker, and how little it cost, I would definitely rank this walker as one of my personal favorites!
